Our History

Originally named Conti Rubber Products Inc., CRP Industries was founded in 1954 by Dr. Adam Schildge to represent the German firm Continental AG in the USA marketplace. Mr. Schildge conducted business with pride and respect, placing great importance on customer service and long-term relationships. As years went by and technology evolved, our philosophy remained the same - all while business grew. And grew!
Eventually, CRP began expanding its horizons in search of the next opportunity. That came in 1974 when CRP, under George Schildge's management, decided to steer away from the tire business and diversify - adding new and different products through a wide range of high level, quality suppliers.
It was that same year that CRP became the exclusive North American sales and service partner for Walter Perske GmbH high-speed precision motors.
In 1978, CRP launched a very popular line of European axle boot and gasket kits under the Meistersatz name further strengthening our position in the automotive market. It was this benchmark year that George Schildge became President and Conti Rubber Products became CRP Industries Inc. to better reflect its expanded focus.
1982 brought expansion to the Industrial Products Division of CRP with the addition of high-pressure thermoplastic specialty hoses. And in 1983, CRP introduced Pentosin power steering fluid to North America.
Today, with over 100 highly skilled employees, we operate warehouses in Cranbury, NJ and Puebla, Mexico. Our product line has grown into a prestigious list of brand names you know and trust from ContiTech to Rein to Pentosin, Perske and more.
